A few months ago, Lysa Flower asked if I'd like to make a quilt with her new Drivin' Down 9 fabric collection, and of course I said yes! It was perfect for making a Suitcases quilt!

Down on the Funny Farm!
Ever since I made this batik chicken quilt, I've wanted to make one with hot pink chickens!
So I was thrilled when Riley Blake Designs sent me the new Effervescence collection! It was designed by Sue Daley, and is a fun mix of chevrons, bubbles, and swirls! With hot pink! I new it was time to make another chicken quilt!

To the moon!
Last week, a friend of mine adopted a baby. She only knew about a week before it was born that she was matched to the baby. She only got the bare necessities for the baby in case it wouldn't go through, but it did! So now with just one-week's notice, she has a newborn! I immediately knew I wanted to make the baby a quilt!

Remember my musical friend that I made this baby quilt for a few months ago? Well, she and her family just moved out of state, so I wanted to make her a housewarming gift for her new home. I have a bundle of one of the Songbook collections by Fancy That Designs for Moda, and I knew one of the hymn panels would make a great mini quilt!

3-D Sewing: Sail Bags!
Ever since visiting a shop in Annapolis, Maryland that sold tote bags made from sailboat sails, I've wanted to try making one myself! I loved the idea of using something old to make something new!
My husband and I recently bought a sailboat to use on our local lake, and we joined the sailing club too. It didn't take long for word to get out that I knew how to sew! Some of our new friends gave me this old and broken sail to use to sew some tote bags!

A Logo Quilt for the Craft Industry Alliance
I have been a member of the Craft Industry Alliance since 2017 - just after starting my business. The membership has been so valuable to me, and I continually am impressed with their contributions to the crafts industry.
Earlier this year, Abby Glassenberg, one of the founders of Craft Industry Alliance, asked if I could make a logo quilt for their H+H Americas booth after seeing the logo quilt I had made a few years ago for my own business (see that one HERE!). Of course I agreed!!

Summer Twilight Hydra Pillow
The Summer Twilight collection is a new batik collection from Island Batik by my designer friend, Tammy of Tamarinis! It's a mix of rich blues, purples, and pinks. I've been wanting to make a pillow from my Hydra quilt pattern for quite awhile, so I jumped at the chance when Tammy sent me some of the fabric to play with!

Chickadee Blog Hop - Chicken Quilt Pattern!
When I was given chicken fabric, I had to make a chicken quilt!!
When Heidi Pridemore of The Whimsical Workshop sent me her newest fabric collection from Island Batik, I tried to focus only on the rich colors and make a quilt reflecting those. But the chicken and barn batiks were like a siren call! I *HAD* to make a chicken quilt!

An Outdoorsy Quilt
A family friend was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. He is doing his chemo treatments at home (I didn't even know that was a thing now!). He is showing incredible strength during the treatments, and only complains of one thing - he's always cold. Of course I immediately knew I *HAD* to make him a quilt!!
