A Slice of Summer

I've been working on several summer themed projects lately! There's just something about the longer days, warmer weather, and green grass that puts me in the mood to sew fun patterns in bright colors!

A quick trip to KCRQF

Last weekend I was able to attend the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival! It was my first time attending (it's only their second time having the show!), and it was well worth the drive!

Fun in the Sun Quilt Block + Tutorial

Happy summer! I am so excited to share several summer-themed projects that I've been working on this month!

First up is my Fun in the Sun quilt block that I designed for the Summer Block Party - a Sew Much Fun blog hop hosted by Jen at Faith and Fabric. Fun in the Sun is a quick and easy quilt block that depicts a summer staple - sunglasses! Do you remember those plastic neon sunglasses of the 80s? I think I had every color as a kid!
