I wanted to use fabrics from my stash, so I chose to use the pastel fabrics left over from making my starflower baby quilt.

I used Coats & Clark white thread for all the piecing and quilting. I used polyester batting, and quilted the mini quilt by stitching in the ditch around each candy and just inside the outer border.
I used embroidery floss to tie little bows on each candy. I did not have all the colors I wanted, so I used white floss and "dyed" it with watered down acrylic paints. They dried quite stiff. It worked well for a photo, but I'm sure the colors wouldn't be permanent long-term.
I really enjoyed testing Nadra's pattern and am actively searching for more pattern testing opportunities!

Aw, the pastel colour use in the quilt makes it looks so adorable. If I had the patience to make something like this I would definitely try my hands on it.
