Let's Take a Road Trip!

My friend and pattern designer, Heather Black of Quiltachusetts, has so many great things happening! She is now the author of TWO quilting books, and her second fabric collection was just released too!! Of course I jumped at the chance to sew something up with her newest fabrics! 

The collection is named "Road Trip" - a nod to the memories of Heather's family road trips. When brainstorming what I might make, I kept circling back to travel themed ideas. I knew suitcases would be a great way to feature the prints in the collection, so the idea was born!

Exploding Heart - A Finished Quilt in All Pink!

It has been so wonderful seeing all of the Exploding Heart quilts made during the quilt along!! I LOVE seeing them pop up in my social media feeds!

This week, I finished my all pink version! This is the FIFTH Exploding Heart quilt I've made now!

I have SO enjoyed the Exploding Heart quilt along! It has been amazing to sew alongside so many people!

Ahoy, Mermaids!

The very moment I saw a sneak peek of the Ahoy! Mermaids collection from Riley Blake, I knew I HAD to have it! It's PERFECT for my Hydra quilt pattern!! And now that I've sewn it up, I'm so giddy with how it turned out!

This month's Quilt Block Mania theme is "Lucky Charms!" Of course the first thing I thought of was the cereal with the same name! I decided to go with the most obvious choice for my block - a four-leaf clover!
