I'm making 52 quilts for charity this year. You can read more about my plan on this post. I recap my sewing progress on the last day of each month, and host a linky party where you can link up any charity sewing you've done too!

This month, I spent a couple hours adding the binding.
I machine stitched the binding on (as I do all my quilts).
The quilting is all 50wt Aurifil in #2324 Stone. I used the same thread to sew on the binding. (When first stitching the binding to the front of the quilt, I used up all different colors of 50wt thread that I had just a bit left on a bobbin. I emptied three different bobbins of various colors!)
Now my charity quilt count for the year looks like this:
2 Debbie Mumm baby quilts that are quilted and awaiting binding
1 Debbie Mumm baby quilt top
My total charity quilt count for the year so far is 12. Just three months left in the year, and 40 quilts away from my goal. I think I can, I think I can.....
These five finishes bring my total quilt count (of all quilts I've made) for the year so far to 51! My charity quilt count seems a bit behind schedule, but my total quilt count is quite a bit ahead of where I was this time last year (I finished last year with 52 quilt finishes).

It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind.
