It feels like it's been awhile, but I have a quilt finish to share today!! This one really makes my boy mom heart happy too! It's dinosaurs!

If you're new here, hello! I'm Laura! I design quilt patterns, and I'm a self-proclaimed deal hunter! Be sure to join the popular Quilting & Sewing Deals Facebook group where I post sales, deals, and coupon codes from all around the web!

It all started with a fat quarter bundle of the super cute new collection from Riley Blake Designs called Eat Your Veggies by Sandy Gervais. The fabric is shipping to stores now, so be sure to keep an eye out at your local quilt shop! (I did find a shop with a preorder for it HERE!)

You can get the Dino Roar pattern HERE!

I drew up some dinosaur shapes and added prairie points for spikes!

I added a few more (and larger!) prairie points around the edge for a fun border then loaded it on my longarm for quilting. I used Warm & Natural batting - my go-to!

Meander quilting on a dinosaur quilt

I did a quick meander and just lifted the prairie points to quilt under them.

I even remembered to sew in one of my labels when sewing on the binding!

I used four colors of Aurifil 50wt for the quilt. I used #1148 Light Jade, #5017 Shining Green, and #2235 Orange for the dinosaurs, then used #2105 Champagne and #2235 Orange for the quilting.

I absolutely love the texture of the prairie points!

This would make such a fun baby quilt or baby play mat!

I'm leaning towards writing up a pattern for this one, so please leave a comment on this post if you'd be interested in that! (Or sign up for my newsletter so you'll know as soon as it's ready!) The pattern is available now! Get it HERE!

This is such a fun fabric collection, and I still have lots of leftovers from the fat quarter bundle! I'm thinking some matching pillows should be next!
