It's a Beach Party!

This month, dozens of pattern designers are coming together to start Quilt Block Mania where we share FREE quilt blocks with you every month! Carolina from AlwaysExpectMoore is spearheading the project, and there are already plans to continue with other themes for several months!

This month's theme is Summer Fun, and I'm sharing the FREE pattern for a beach ball quilt block!

QAL by the Sea starts August 4th!

I'm excited to announce the next quilt-a-long by Partners in Design! QAL by the Sea will be the 4th quilt-a-long from the group, and this time it's an ocean theme!

Today begins a new virtual show with 50+ of my designer friends!

Happy May Day! + TGIFF

After making the jar of tulips mini quilt for the April Aurifil Artisan challenge, it made me remember that May Day was coming up! Do you give flowers to your friends and neighbors on May Day? It's a tradition I was introduced to as a young girl, and I decided to make some quilty flowers for my friends this year!

This month's Aurifil Artisan challenge was to feature your favorite Aurifil thread weight! I didn't even have to think about it! I absolutely love the 50wt!! I use it for piecing, machine applique, free-motion quilting (on both my domestic and longarm!), stitching on binding...

It took a bit longer to think about what I wanted to make. More sunshine is happening these days, and I've really been admiring the tulips blooming around our neighborhood. That was just the inspiration I needed to make a mini quilt!

Quilt Candy Virtual Trunk Show

Today kicks off a fun event with more than 60 of my designer friends!

From April 1 through April 10, different designers will present 15 minute trunk shows live on their Facebook page! 

One trunk show every hour, on the hour, starting at 12pm EST until 8pm EST every day!

Most of the trunk shows (maybe all??) will be saved on each designer's Facebook page so you can go back and catch up and watch all the ones you want!

I'll be going live on my Slice of Pi Quilts Facebook page twice during the event! And as a bonus, I'm going to do the live events on Instagram too!

My first one is tonight (April 1) at 6pm EST, and again next week at the same time! (April 8 at 6pm EST) Be sure to like my Slice of Pi Quilts Facebook page so you'll get a notification when I go live!
