The Destination: Quilt Along is so close to the end! It's time for block 11 this week!

I chose several solid fabrics for my block. All of these have already been used in other blocks too, so I'm hoping that helps the blocks have a cohesive look overall.
This block has a tiny bit of paper piecing, one regular pieced seam, and then some raw edge applique too.
I used Aurifil 50wt thread for the piecing and applique, but then used Aurifil 12wt thread for my top thread (and 50wt in the bobbin) to machine stitch the balloon ropes.
A peek at the back of the block shows the seams and the outline of the applique.
I love how this block uses several colors from the other blocks!
Here's a look at all the blocks so far. I'm starting to get excited about putting them all together in a quilt!
