Pop the confetti! Let's celebrate a quilt finish!
When Kristy Lea of Quiet Play Designs sent me a bundle of her new Imagine fabrics by Riley Blake Designs, I couldn't wait to make them into a Party Pop quilt!

The collection is a burst of rainbow colors! (You might be able to find the fabric at your local quilt shop, or HERE.) I paired it with a solid white fabric for the background so the colors would really pop.
The quilt is strip pieced, then you cut the blocks out of the strip sections. It's a technique that makes the quilt beginner friendly!
I found the perfect backing fabric at JoAnn - it's rainbow confetti!
Once the top was finished, I used a medium meander on my mom's longarm to quilt it with Warm & White batting, then bound the quilt with the rainbow hexie print from the collection. (Machine binding tutorial HERE!)
I still love my satin quilt labels that I sew into the binding of every quilt I make! It's so quick and easy to do! And here's a better peek at the perfect backing fabric!
The Party Pop pattern makes such a fun quilt!
Wouldn't it be great as a photo backdrop to a party? Or as a birthday quilt for a kid to use every time it's his birthday? What fun memories a quilt like that would hold!
The bright colors of the Imagine fabric collection were so fun to sew with! I'm sure my boys are going to steal this one to use as their own!
