It's week five of the Destination: Quilt Along! This week's block is a ferry! I don't recall ever being on a ferry! Guess I better put that on my vacation bucket list!

I followed most of Kathleen's recommended colors for my version of the ferry block. I picked solids from my stash and did all my piecing with 50wt Aurifil #2021 Natural White.
I have several sheets of foam core board, and that worked really great to keep all my cut pieces organized! I was easily able to take the pieces from the cutting table to my sewing machine. (I didn't label them, but I was careful to keep them in the same order as the cutting chart in the pattern!)
This block even gave me a chance to use my sewing machine laser! (You can read more about that on THIS POST!) I never have to draw lines when sewing stitch-n-flip corners anymore!
I love watching a block come to life!
