A Third and a First

The Exploding Heart quilt pattern launched in 2020, and four years later, there's now a MINI Exploding Heart quilt pattern! When I was looking for fabrics that would work well for the smaller version, I was immediately drawn to Tilda fabrics. They're from Norway, and more pricey than typical fabrics. This makes them special - and perfect for making a wall-hanging sized Exploding Heart quilt!

Road Trippin'

A few months ago, Lysa Flower asked if I'd like to make a quilt with her new Drivin' Down 9 fabric collection, and of course I said yes! It was perfect for making a Suitcases quilt!

You're Mer-Mazing!

One goal that I have when designing quilts is to make them fun! This Hydra pillow definitely fits that description! It has 3-D scales that lift up! It has such a great texture that you just want to touch!

Down on the Funny Farm!

Ever since I made this batik chicken quilt, I've wanted to make one with hot pink chickens!

So I was thrilled when Riley Blake Designs sent me the new Effervescence collection! It was designed by Sue Daley, and is a fun mix of chevrons, bubbles, and swirls! With hot pink! I new it was time to make another chicken quilt! 

To the moon!

Last week, a friend of mine adopted a baby. She only knew about a week before it was born that she was matched to the baby. She only got the bare necessities for the baby in case it wouldn't go through, but it did! So now with just one-week's notice, she has a newborn! I immediately knew I wanted to make the baby a quilt! 

Hymn Mini Quilt

Remember my musical friend that I made this baby quilt for a few months ago? Well, she and her family just moved out of state, so I wanted to make her a housewarming gift for her new home. I have a bundle of one of the Songbook collections by Fancy That Designs for Moda, and I knew one of the hymn panels would make a great mini quilt!
